Balancing the Worlds

Oh my heart- my tender heart hurts, my human heart hurts and my Soul calms it and loves it. So much loss, so many goodbyes, tragedies to the human world and celebrations in the Spirit world. Sometimes it is hard to find the balance, sometimes the human side just needs time to grieve and process the intense emotions of loss and seeming goodbyes.

In my work as a hospice nurse I see the human side clearly of letting go and sending our loved ones back to Spirit. It is bittersweet for me, as I know that we all continue on in a nonhuman form. In my work as a medium I connect with those loved ones in Spirit and they give me evidence of their existence, no doubt that life, a different life, a nonphysical life continues. It brings solace to our human emotions of loss and grief, it helps us process the intense emotions that the other side of love brings. We would not grieve ao deeply if we had not loved so deeply, it is that simple, but not easy.

I know in my heart we go on, but I must also honor the human part of me that needs to express the loss, because this will break me open and allow my soul more space and I will grow and become something I am not now. And when I return to the Spirit world I can offer this new version up to the Creator, my God and say look what I have done with the gift you sent me Earth with- isn’t it beautiful? And God will smile.

So my friends as you navigate through your grief remember you are becoming a beautiful gift and I am here holding space for you and sending you love.
