Laughing Angels

Each morning when I say my prayers I ask for divine protection from Archangel Michael, I specifically ask that my car and travels are protected. Anyone who has driven in New Jersey knows what I mean…
Last week I got rear ended. I was traveling down a stretch of highway under construction; stop and go traffic which the guy behind me failed to realize until- bam- he implanted his license plate into my bumper. Luckily for me my seat belt caught my flying angel impersonation; apparently I don’t do that very well. No great harm done, really. But it reminded me of a year ago when the very same thing happened. I was stopped at a light and a very young lady slammed into me, implanting her license plate in my bumper. She was shaking and visibly upset, obviously a new driver. I asked her if she was alright and decided the damage wasn’t worth bothering with. Still she stood there on the verge of tears. I instinctively held her in a tight hug and told her everything would be okay, not to worry, try to be more careful, the usual motherly advice I would have given my own kids in this situation. She made an audible sigh and responded, “Wow! You are so much nicer than the lady I hit last week!”
I could hear the Angels laughing…

  1. Beautiful story! I love reading about and hearing from others who trust in the ArchAngel Michael for protection.
